Title: Senior Director, Project-Based Housing Reports to: Deputy
Chief, Project-Based HousingSupervises: Case Managers, Program
Managers, Support Specialists, etc. Status: Full-time, Exempt
(Salary), Management Location: The Nest 222 South Hill Street,
Suite 700, Los Angeles, CA 90012 Benefits: Medical, Vision, Dental,

(EAP), etc.Job Summary:Under the direction of the Deputy Chief,
Project-Based Housing, the Senior Director, Project-Based Housing
will provide administrative and clinical leadership to agency-wide
staff managing teams working with individuals linked to permanent
supportive housing. This includes direct supervision of Director
and Assistant Director level staff to ensure high-quality services
focused on housing stability and retention are delivered. This also
includes ensuring services are outcome and performance driven. The
Senior Director, Project-Based Housing will also develop
relationships with partner agencies and funders to ensure continued
funding and contract compliance.Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight to the supportive service management team
connected to housing programs to engage and provide stabilization
and retention services to homeless individuals living in Permanent
Supportive Housing.
- Interface with Housing Developers, Landlords, and Property
Management companies to secure housing resources.
- Provide administrative oversight of monthly contract billing,
ensure accurate reporting to decrease issues due to errors in
CHAMP, and complete reports on time.
- Monitor and ensure that staff are managing all Cal Aim funding
expectations.
- Provide clinical and administrative supervision to all Director
level staff, Assistant Director, and Program Manager level staff
when indicated.
- When appropriate, provide clinical supervision to staff working
towards clinical licensure.
- Lead and facilitate meetings, case conferences, and training of
housing department staff.
- Spearhead assessment process to identify process gaps and
create program improvements to ensure continued innovations and
enhancements in client care and staff retention.
- Guide client crisis interventions and triage assessments with
staff by responding to medical and mental health crises, including
writing LPS 5150 applications when warranted.
- Provide leadership on mentally ill, homeless, and supportive
housing best practice models; generate recommendations for future
program development and community leadership in this area.
- Ensure that leadership staff conduct ongoing file review and
client file management for quality assurance and audit
preparation.
- Work with direct reports to ensure that staff are adequately
trained and abide by all agency and department policies and
procedures.
- Ensure that all Annual Reviews are completed in a timely
manner.
- Review, alongside your leadership team, reports generated by
HMIS and CHAMP, review errors, and discuss action plan to ensure
corrections are made in a timely manner.
- Participate in the agency's quality assurance program and
ensure the implementation of quality improvement activities across
supportive housing programs to ensure ongoing quality
outcomes.
- Participate in funding applications and program development as
requested, gathering necessary documentation for RFP process when
funding opportunities are identified.
- Partner with other Senior Directors in the department to
implement strategic and system enhancements.
- Act as the Liaison with all Housing Authorities, DHS, DMH, and
Brilliant Corners leadership.
- Develop, update and implement policies and procedures to ensure
programmatic systems and structure remains in place.
- Provide oversight regarding hiring and ensure Diverse and
Equitable hiring practices appropriately reflect the diversity of
the population served.
- Work with Directors to ensure that OSHA reports are completed
on a monthly basis for all project-based housing sites under your
direction.
- Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
- Masters' degree in mental health field (Social Work, MFT, or
Psychology).
- Licensed for 2 years and in good standing with California Board
of Behavioral Sciences.
- Extensive experience working with homeless individuals with
severe and persistent mental illness and co-occurring
disorders.
- At least 5 years of management/supervisory experience
preferred.Work Environment:
- On occasion walk or drive to different local sites.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend and occasionally lift or
carry up to 35 pounds.
- Field (may need to travel) and indoor office environment.
- Will necessitate working in busy and loud environments.
- Will be exposed to elements like cold, heat, dust, noise, and
odor.
- May need to bend, stoop, twist, and sit throughout the
