  • RN Labor and Delivery specialty consideration.
  • Valid Prime CA Sexual Harassment Prevention Training certification.
  • AWONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
  • Basic Pharmacology competency test with a score requirement.
  • License/Certificate Verification process as applicable.
  • MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Tdap vaccinations or valid titers showing immunity.
  • Fit Test for personal protective equipment.
  • Influenza vaccination or valid declination.
    • Job Details
    • The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
    • Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
    • The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Birthplace.
    • Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
    • Provides for a safe environment for patients and visitors.
    • Utilizes the chain of command when necessary to ensure patient well-being and appropriateness of care to newborns and mothers during the antepartum and postpartum periods.
      • Job Requirements
      • Valid for 2 years. Available for free at https://calcivilrights.ca.gov/shpt/ Covered in WAMC orientation packet when they come into facility under Essentials.
      • American Heart Association or Red Cross BLS certification.
      • May be confirmed at www.nursys.com/LQC/LQCSearch.aspx Nursys.
      • American Heart Association or Red Cross - NALS also accepted (for NICU, L&D, Postpartum RNs) NRP certification.
      • Must score 80% or higher on Prime Basic Pharmacology Exam.
      • Primary Source Verification of professional license, and/or certification, as required for the position. Ran within 30 days of start. Updated upon expiration.
      • Proof of 2 Vaccines or Positive Titer showing immunity for MMR.
      • Annual Respirator fit test. Can complete onsite with notice & a $50 cash fee.
      • 3 doses of Hepatitis B vaccine, if not titers are required.
      • Flu Vaccine or declination required October 1-May 31. Declinations accepted.
      • TB Test required annually.
      • Driver's license, State ID, or Passport required.
      • Vaccination/titer showing immunity for Varicella.
      • Declinations for Tdap not accepted at Shasta Regional Medical Center.
      • DSV - Must be within year of start date. If past positive for TB, testing still required from within year of start date. When submitting chest X-ray, TB testing is still required to be completed within the year to accompany chest X-ray.
      • Physical/Health Statement is required Annually, Except Saint Marys Regional Medical Center- Nevada must be completed within 60 days of start.
      • Prime OIG and Prime SAM/EPLS clearance required.
      • Must score 80% or higher on Prime Core Competencies Exam except in Georgia at SRGA must score 85% or higher.
      • Prime Skills Checklist completion is mandatory.
      • Prime Drug Screening (minimum 10-panel test) required within 60 days of start for CA Locations. As of 1/01/24 California law permits the testing for marijuana psychoactive metabolites only by saliva. All drug screens will be required to have two components for onboarding at all CA Prime facilities. A 10-panel urine drug screen excluding THC and a psychoactive THC saliva test.
      • Relias accepted for Prime Color-blind test.
      • National Criminal Background Check within one year of start date is required.
      • Prime Agency Attestation completion after all other credentials are uploaded and up to date.
      • Clear headshot from shoulders up with solid plain background for Prime Badge Photo. Facility specific. Please be prepared to request if needed for onboarding prior to clearance.
      • Prime Form I-9 (Employment eligibility verification) must be completed.
      • Prime Resume required for submission.
      • Must score 80% or higher on Prime Specialty Exam.
      • Prime Reference #1 and Prime Reference #2 are required for submission.
        • Additional Details
        • COVID-19 Vaccine required.
        • Influenza Vaccine or declination required October 1-May 31. Declinations accepted.
        • TB Test is mandated annually.
        • Annual Respirator fit test. Can complete onsite with notice & a $50 cash fee.
